4th victim dies after Wash. state school shooting

Marysville Pilchuck High School 15 Yr Old Andrew Fryberg died Friday  after being shot by his cousin Jaylen on Oct. 24 in their cafeteria. Including the gunman, five students have died from the school shooting.

According to CNN, “Our family is overwhelmed with the love and care that has been provided to our loved one during this time and you all will forever hold a special place in our hearts,” the family of Fryberg said in a statement.

The victims were invited to the same lunch table by Jaylen. “Shortly before the attack, the gunman sent a selfie to an ex-girlfriend of himself holding a gun, a law enforcement official said,” CNN details. “It is unclear if it is the same .40 caliber pistol he pulled out of a black backpack and fired.”

After shooting his five victims, Jaylen took his own life after being confronted by first-year social studies teacher Megan Silberberger.

All four students died on different days, beginning with Zoe Galasso, 14, who died at the scene. Gia Soriano and Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, both also 14 years old, died days later.

Nate Hatch, 14, is the only survivor from the attack. Hatch — cousin to Jaylen and Andrew Fryberg — has since been released from the hospital.
