A black Colorado man was confronted by officers at gun point in his own yard while picking up trash.
Footage taken from inside the home in Boulder shows the man, identified as Zayd by his friend, getting into an
altercation with officer’s Friday morning.
Police can be heard shouting ‘put down the weapon’, referring to the litter-picker in the man’s hand.
Boulder police have now launched an investigation after the video caused fury when it was posted online,
and say the officer who initially confronted the man has been put on administrative leave.
