Eric Garner laid on the ground not breathing for over 5 minutes, he is placed on stretcher and taken into ambulance.
Eric had a heart attack and died when officers attempted to arrest him for illegally selling cigarettes on Staten Island and family members are demanding justice.
Eric Garner, 43, was pronounced dead at a hospital after officers tried to apprehend him around 4:45 p.m., Thursday.
“I can’t breathe. I can’t breathe,” says Garner.
The NYPD says they were arresting him for selling untaxed cigarettes, but witnesses say he had just broken up a fight and was wrongly targeted by police.
