Disturbing video surfaced the internet showing a middle school teacher shoving a student into a desk and wrestling him to the floor.
Georgia middle school teacher got into an altercation with a student inside his class room at Glenn Hills Middle School in Augusta.
video shows Akenga Smith pushing the student first as other students are heard screaming in the background.
Officials from Richmond County Schools said Smith has been removed from the classroom and an investigation is underway.
Smith has been placed on paid leave as officials investigate.
