K-9 assaulted by police officer removed from California cop’s home.

Disturbing video surfaced online last week showing a California police officer punching his K-9 during a training session has sparked public outrage.

Vacaville Police say the K-9 was not returning a toy and got aggressive which prompted the officer’s violent response, but protesters called on the department to take action against that officer.

Footage which was posted on Facebook last Monday shows an officer pin the K-9 down between his legs near a warehouse on Vaca Valley Parkway. At one point, he reaches back and strikes the dog.

According to witness Robert Palomino, the officer punched the dog repeatedly before he caught the incident on camera.

The dog has been removed from the care of his handler and was examined by a vet.
