An innocent women was attacked in front of her own home while taking out the trash by a St. Paul police dog, the K-9 knocked her out of her shoes and dragged her to the ground causing bites that required hospitalization, according to a lawsuit filed in federal court.
So what did Collins do to provoke Gabe the German shepherd? Nothing, according to police. Collins, 52, has filed a lawsuit against the officer, claiming the dog’s leash was too long. The department has since apologized and the officer in charge of Gabe was suspended for one day.
