52 year-old Fidel Lopez was recently sentenced to 60 days in jail for raping his fiancée’s dog to death.
Lopez admitted to abusing the dog and having sex with the pet when they were left alone.
Fidel’s fiancée came home and found Estrella, her Lhasa Apso mix, bleeding and the dog later died of the injuries. .
Lopez was sentenced on Monday to 3 years probation and 60 days behind bars, he has no prior criminal history.
The sentence was the most that Oregon’s sentencing guidelines would allow.
‘If it could have been more, I gladly would have given you more time,’ Multnomah County Circuit Judge Angel Lopez, who is not related to Fidel Lopez, said in court
