On Tuesday 27 Year-Old Herbert McClellan robbed a convenience store in Clearwater running off with 13 scratch off lottery tickets.
A few hours later the thief realized that one of those ticket was a winner so he decided to return to the same store to collect his prize.
The Store employees recognized McClellan as the scratch-off thief and called 911.
“It’s safe to say it was not his lucky day,” Clearwater Police said in an online post.
McClellan was arrested and charged with petit theft and dealing in stolen property.
The winning ticket was only worth $30
