A Texas man is accused of murdering the mother of his 1 year-old daughter outside her workplace earlier this month.
33 Year-old Andrew Charles Beard of Rowlett, was charged with murder in the Oct. 2 for the killing of 24 year-old Alyssa Ann Burkett of Rockwall.
According Carrollton police Around 9.am Beard wore blackface as a disguise as he stabbed and shot his baby’s mother outside the Greentree Apartments, where she was a manager.
When officers arrived they found Burkett outside on the front steps, with several of her co-workers attempting to render first aid.
Authorities later found out that the two was recently involved in a custody battle over their daughter where she was granted custody of the child on Sept. 30.
Beard is being held without bail in the Dallas County Jail.
