34 Year-Old Mary Elizabeth Moore of Oklahoma will serve no prison time for forcing her children to eat dog feces.
Moore has been given two, seven-year suspended prison sentences after entering a no contest plea Friday in Delaware County District Court.
Moore was charged in April when her two children, aged five and three, were hospitalized in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for severe malnutrition and placed on nasal feeding tubes. Both children were placed into state custody.
Moore’s eldest child told Department of Human Services workers in graphic detail about how she had been made to eat dog feces.
Doctors later confirmed that parasitic pinworms had been found in the children’s stools.
When the children were hospitalized, the five-year-old weighed just 26 pounds and the three-year-old weighed 18 pounds.
