Spike on Chicago's gun violence, blasted those who criticize his Chi-Raq Movie

Spike Lee has been receiving nothing but hate ever since he released the official movie Trailer to Chi-Raq

Crazy feedback of the clip coming from rappers like Lil Bibby, Fredo Santana, Lil Durk and more, who thinks Spike should of named the movie something else.

The rappers feel like he’s trying to just make profit off their Hometown.

That Chiraq trailer look like a Parody,” wrote Lil Bibby.

“That shit gotta be a prank,” wrote Lil Durk, The reason straight outta Compton sold like that cause it was real

“No comment,” wrote Lil Reese.

“This is a perfect example of somebody not from Chicago who comes to Chicago and exploits the violence and the situation without leaving anything sustainable in its place.”

“They should have named that movie something else,” said Fredo. “Using what we went through and still going through to make money is not cool.”

SpikeĀ  blasted those who criticized the trailer and compared them to some people he’s met in the South.

“What we hope to do with this film is to have people be really, really honest and stop putting their head in the sand and act like it’s not happening and spark discussion, dialogue,” stated Lee. “How can we give our young people hope? These young guys, they don’t have any hope. They don’t have any value in life.”

“Chi-Raq” opens in theaters all across the U.S. on Dec. 4.

Wouldn’t it be smart to wait until one sees the whole thing before he or she blasts it?

How many times have we seen a trailer, and it ends up being completely different from the actual movie? That could definitely be the case with “Chi-Raq” so until it comes out maybe everyone should just calm down a bit and save their criticisms for later.

It’s really not about awards. I’m going to save lives.
