Teen Shot to Death In Front of his father while trying to sell his Xbox

Police in Indiana is asking for help tracking down two suspects that shot and killed a kid while attempting to sell them his Xbox.

Johnny Peluyera, of Gary was on an online app when he arranged to meet up with two men to sell his Xbox near 51st and Maryland street.

When Peluyera and his father arrived to the location to make the transaction The boy’s dad said he knew something wasn’t right.

He spotted a gun and tried to warn his son, but the teen was shot in the back as he tried to run back to his father’s car.

Peluyera was pronounced dead shortly after.

“I just completely don’t understand,” his mother said. “I don’t understand how somebody, over an Xbox, can take somebody’s life.”

The men were described as two black males in their late teens to early 20s. No further description was provided. Police believe the men are from the area, and are asking for the public’s assistance.
